Virginia is home to over 130,000 active-duty military personnel, and many of them have children who face the unique challenges that come with military."
In a tweet on April 16, 2025, Cline commented on recent developments in border security measures. He expressed his perspective, referring to previous policy suggestions by the Biden administration, stating, "Remember when Biden and the Left said we needed new laws to secure the border? Illegal crossings are down 94%. Violent illegal aliens being deported. Border wall construction restarted. 'Remain in Mexico' back in place. Turns out we didn’t need new laws. We needed a new."

He criticized the current administration with his tweet, "It’s unacceptable that the Biden Administration issued over 2 million Social Security numbers to non-citizens in just one year. We should never be rewarding those who break our immigration laws."
