Congressman Ben Cline, representing Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, has been actively voicing his opinions on various national issues via social media. On April 11, 2025, Cline shared his views on economic progress, justice for victims of crimes by illegal immigrants, and national security concerns relating to foreign influence.

In his first statement of the day, "Inflation is easing. Gas prices are down. Wages are rising. With President Trump’s pro-growth, America First agenda, America is finally moving in the right direction." Cline expressed his approval for the pro-growth agenda under the previous administration, citing improvements in the economy.

Later the same day, he turned his attention to the justice system, specifically regarding crimes involving illegal immigrants. "Americans harmed by illegal immigrants deserve justice and a voice. Glad to see @SEC_Noem restoring the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement Office — a critical resource shut down by the Biden Administration. We must always stand with them." In this tweet, Cline acknowledged the restoration of a controversial resource previously discontinued under the Biden administration.

In his final post, Cline expressed security concerns over foreign ownership of American land. On April 11, he tweeted, "Foreign adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party should NOT be purchasing U.S. farmland – especially near our military bases. I applaud @FBIDirectorKash for stepping up to root out Chinese influence on American soil." Cline commended efforts by the FBI to mitigate foreign influence through land ownership near sensitive military sites.

Ben Cline has been a member of Congress since 2019, having succeeded Bob Goodlatte. Prior to his tenure in Congress, Cline served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Cline, originally from Stillwater, Oklahoma, holds a degree from Bates College and a JD from the University of Richmond context on his career and educational background.
