Congressman Ben Cline, representing Virginia's 6th district since 2019, has been vocal on social media regarding current political issues. On March 11, 2025, he addressed several topics through his Twitter account.

In a tweet posted at 13:18 UTC, Cline criticized Democrats for allegedly campaigning for a government shutdown. He stated that House Republicans are focused on passing a clean bill to maintain government operations while continuing to support President Donald Trump's agenda. "While Democrats are campaigning for a government shutdown, House Republicans are determined to pass a clean bill to keep the government running while we continue to implement the agenda of President Donald Trump to secure the border, drain the swamp, and boost American…"

Later that day at 17:28 UTC, Cline expressed concern over federal credit card usage. He highlighted that there were twice as many credit cards as employees in the federal government and $40 billion spent in fiscal year 2024 across numerous transactions. He praised efforts by an entity referred to as @DOGE for deactivating over 200,000 cards in an attempt to curb wasteful spending. "Unbelievable. The federal government had twice as many credit cards as employees and spent $40 billion in FY24 credit card usage across 90 million transactions. @DOGE is cleaning it up, deactivating 200K+ cards so far. This is exactly why we must eliminate reckless waste and…"

At 20:15 UTC on the same day, Cline joined colleagues from the Republican Study Committee in Congress to advocate for codifying former President Trump's executive orders into law. He emphasized that this effort aligns with public support for the America First agenda. "Today, I joined my @RepublicanStudy colleagues to highlight our efforts in Congress to codify President Trump’s executive orders into law. The American people overwhelmingly support the America First agenda, and we’re working to set it in stone."
