Congressman Ben Cline, representing Virginia’s 6th district, has recently shared several updates via social media. The tweets highlight significant issues and developments in his legislative agenda and personal advocacies.

On February 12, 2025, Congressman Cline announced the return of teacher Marc Fogel to the United States. "Incredible news—teacher Marc Fogel is back in the U.S.! Marc was unjustly detained in Russia and sentenced to 14 years in prison. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership and relentless efforts, he’s finally free and reunited with his family."

The following day, on February 13, 2025, Cline expressed concern over U.S. taxpayer dollars being used for what he describes as censorship by the United Nations through IVerify. He introduced a legislative measure aimed at protecting free speech rights. "Outrageous: U.S. taxpayer dollars are funding the U.N.’s efforts to censor speech through IVerify. We must defend our God-given First Amendment right. That’s why I introduced the End U.N. Censorship Act—to stop this attack on free speech once and for all."

Later that same day, Congressman Cline voiced support for legislation intended to enhance safety measures for law enforcement officers during high-speed chases. "I’m proud to support the Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act to make it a crime to flee from law enforcement during a high-speed chase. Border patrol agents and police officers put their lives on the line every day—we must protect those who protect us."
