Congressman Ben Cline, representing Virginia's 6th district, recently shared a series of statements on various issues via social media. His tweets addressed concerns about foreign influence in American universities, community engagement through town hall meetings, and government expenditure on unused office spaces.

On November 25, 2024, Congressman Cline expressed concern about the influence of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in American academic institutions. He criticized the University of Minnesota for maintaining ties with Sun Yat-sen University despite warnings about its connections to the CCP. "The CCP is actively trying to influence and infiltrate American universities. It’s unacceptable that the University of Minnesota continues its ties with the CCP-controlled Sun Yat-sen University despite serious warnings."

The following day, on November 26, 2024, he recounted his recent engagement with constituents at a town hall event in Harrisonburg. He emphasized his commitment to communication and understanding community issues as their representative in Washington. Later that same day, Congressman Cline highlighted inefficiencies within federal agencies' use of office space in Washington D.C., pointing out that only a small fraction is currently being utilized. He noted this as an example of government waste and mentioned working with others to address it. "Only 12% of federal agency office space in D.C. is currently being utilized—that’s unacceptable...American taxpayers shouldn’t be footing the bill for empty desks."
