Congressman Ben Cline, who has been representing Virginia's 6th district since 2019, shared a series of tweets recently highlighting his positions on national defense and border security. A native of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Cline has a background in law and political service within Virginia.
On December 12, 2024, Congressman Cline expressed his support for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). He stated: "I am proud to support the NDAA, which deliver: Historic pay increase for our troops. Invest in critical weaponry & tech. Abolishes DEI and CRT trainings. This NDAA puts America first and strengthens our commitment to peace through strength."
The following day, December 13, he commemorated the anniversary of the U.S. National Guard by tweeting: "Happy 388th Birthday to the U.S. National Guard. Thank you for being 'Always Ready, Always There' in service to our great Nation."
Later that day on December 13, Congressman Cline criticized an initiative by the Biden-Harris Administration regarding border security materials. He commented: "The Biden-Harris Admin's plan to auction off critical border security materials is an outrageous abuse and waste of taxpayer dollars. We should be using the tools we already have to finish the wall and secure our border, yet this Admin chooses politics over the American people."
