2022 Indigenous Peoples Day schedule

In observance of the Indigenous Peoples Day holiday on Monday, October 10, 2022, the City will operate the below schedule.
- CLOSED: City administrative offices, Jim Barnett Park Rec Center, and the Joint Judicial Center (courts) will be closed on October 10.
- MOVED: Monday’s (October 10) recycling collection is moved to Wednesday, October 12. Yard Waste collection is canceled on October 12.
- OPERATING: WinTran routes will operate on regular schedule on Monday, October 10 (a change from previous years).
- FREE: Metered parking in Old Town Winchester is always free on weekends and designated holidays, including Indigenous Peoples Day.
- OPEN: Winchester-Frederick County Visitor Center, located at 1400 S. Pleasant Valley Road, will be open on October 10 from 9 am-5 pm to greet and assist residents and visitors.
