Congressman Ben Cline, who serves Virginia's Sixth District, shared his perspectives through a series of tweets. Cline, who succeeded Bob Goodlatte in Congress in 2019, has a long history in public service, having previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates.

On March 28, 2025, Cline commented on the impact of political decisions affecting law enforcement in Chicago. He stated, "Chicago politicians’ push to defund the police has demoralized law enforcement and made it harder for them to do their job. The result? 572 homicides in 2024 alone. Leading the nation for the 13th straight year."

Later that day, Cline congratulated James Schmidt on his appointment as the next president of James Madison University, recognizing his extensive experience. He expressed his well-wishes by stating, "Congratulations to James Schmidt on being named the next president of James Madison University. With three decades of experience in higher education, he’s well prepared to lead JMU into its next chapter. I wish him all the best as he steps into this important role."

On March 29, 2025, Cline marked National Vietnam War Veterans Day by honoring those who served in the Vietnam War. He shared a message of gratitude, saying, "On National Vietnam War Veterans Day, we honor the brave men and women who served in the Vietnam War. Their sacrifice and dedication to our nation will never be forgotten. To all the Vietnam veterans in Virginia's Sixth District and across the country, thank you for your service."
