Congressman Ben Cline, representing Virginia's 6th district since 2019, shared his views on various national issues through a series of tweets. Cline, who succeeded Bob Goodlatte and previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018, expressed concerns about fiscal responsibility and national security.

On March 5, 2025, Congressman Ben Cline supported President Biden's stance on addressing the national debt. He emphasized the need for fiscal responsibility by stating: ".@POTUS is exactly right — with $36 trillion in national debt, it’s long past time to restore fiscal sanity and balance the budget. American families have to balance their budget, Washington needs to do the same."

Later that day, Cline commented on a significant development related to a past terrorist attack during the Afghanistan withdrawal. He tweeted: "On Aug. 26, 2021, during Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, a terrorist attack at Abbey Gate took the lives of 13 brave U.S. service members. Thanks to @POTUS and his Administration’s leadership, the terrorist mastermind behind this attack is now on U.S. soil to face…" This tweet highlights his acknowledgment of efforts made by President Biden's administration in bringing justice.

In another tweet posted on March 5th as well, Cline expressed agreement with public opinion regarding former President Trump's address: "76% of Americans approved of President Trump’s address — and I’m right there with them. The message is clear: the far Left is completely out of touch with the values and priorities of the American people." Here he aligned himself with what he perceives as mainstream American values against more progressive elements.
