Congressman Ben Cline, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 6th district since 2019, shared a series of tweets addressing recent legislative actions and executive orders by President Trump. Cline, who succeeded Bob Goodlatte and previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018, commented on these developments through his official Twitter account.

On January 29, 2025, Congressman Cline announced that "President Trump just signed the Laken Riley Act into law as his first bill in office, ensuring that illegal immigrants who commit theft offenses—like the one responsible for taking Laken Hope Riley’s life—will be prioritized for arrest and removal." He emphasized the need for prioritizing such arrests and removals.

Later that day, he highlighted another executive action by stating "President Trump’s Executive Order to cut federal funds for schools pushing CRT and radical gender ideology is a major win for American parents and kids." He argued that children should focus on essential skills rather than what he described as "radical Marxist ideology."

In a subsequent tweet posted on January 30, Cline compared border policies under different administrations: "The difference between Biden’s border disaster and Trump’s border security is night and day—one invites chaos, the other restores order."
