There were 8,938 white students enrolled in Frederick County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 1.2% less than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Frederick County Public Schools District welcomed 14,172 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, white students comprised 63.1% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the school.

Frederick County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Winchester City and has a main office in Winchester.

Among the 19 schools in Frederick County Public Schools District, James Wood High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
