Track Competes at Princeton

Wyatt Schannauer paced the Shenandoah University outdoor track & field teams Saturday at the Princeton Elite Invitational final qualifier.

Schannauer, competing in both the shot put and discus throws, set a new school record in the shot put with a 15.59 meter throw.

That shot put performance was good for sixth overall. He was also sixth in the discus with a toss of 44.30 meters.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of William Crowder, Miles Moore, Andre Jackson, and Elijah Morton won their event with a 41.58.

Moore was sixth in the 100 and Crowder 15th. Moore had a 10.95 in finals after running a 10.80 in the preliminary heat.

Matthew Klocke and Elias McGhie went 9-10 in the 400 meter hurdles with 55.57 and 55.98, respectively.

Tucker Kindig rounded out the men's competitors by competing in the hammer throw.

For the women, Kaitlin Measell was third in the long jump and Janelle Anderson sixth in the 100 meters.

Measell had a leap of 5.40 meters on her third of six attempts while Anderson ran a 12.97 in the finals after posting a 12.89 in the preliminary heat.

UP NEXT

This same group of student-athletes compete Monday in the SWAT Final Qualifier hosted by Swarthmore College.
