Warren County Bridge Project
Bridge Over Norfolk Southern Railway
Virtual Design Public Hearing
Find out about the proposed improvements for the section of Route 658 (Rockland Road) that extends from 0.271 miles west of Route 705 to 0.053 mile east of Route 705 in Warren County. The project proposes to construct a bridge on Route 658 over the Norfolk Southern Railway.
The hearing will be held as a virtual/online event. VDOT representatives will make a presentation beginning at 4 p.m. and be present to answer questions after the presentation is completed. The presentation will be available for review throughout the comment period.
Project information, including the National Environmental Policy Act document in the form of a Categorical Exclusion is available on the project website https://www.virginiadot.org/RocklandRoad or can be reviewed after the hearing at VDOT’s Staunton District Office located at 811 Commerce Road Staunton, VA 24401-9029.
Property impact information, relocation assistance policies and tentative construction schedules are available on the project website and for review at the address listed above. For additional information, contact Dr. Elizabeth Jordan at 540-332-7880, 1-800- 367-7623, TTY/TDD 711.
In compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 106 and 36 CFR Part 800, information concerning the potential effects of the proposed project on properties listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places is provided in the environmental documentation.
