Regular gas was sold at the lowest price of $2.79 per gallon at one gas station in Shenandoah County during the week ending Feb. 28, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Reported prices for regular gas in Shenandoah County averaged $2.95 per gallon.
Among 37 gas stations in cities within Shenandoah County, 21 offered regular gas.
Across Virginia, the average reported price for a gallon of regular gas rose to $2.82, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
