Congressman Ben Cline, representing Virginia’s 6th District since 2019, has been active on social media, sharing updates and expressing his views on various issues. Cline, who succeeded Bob Goodlatte in Congress and previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018, has a background in law with degrees from Bates College and the University of Richmond.
On June 3, 2025, Congressman Cline highlighted recent charges brought by the Department of Justice against two Chinese nationals. He stated that “DOJ just charged two Chinese nationals, Yunqing Jian and Zunyong Liu, for smuggling Fusarium graminearum—a fungus flagged as a potential agro-terror weapon—into the US for their work at the University of Michigan lab. The CCP has a long record of exploiting America’s”.
Later that day, Cline expressed his support for local law enforcement partnerships with ICE through the 287(g) agreements. He mentioned Virginia’s ranking among states with such agreements and stated his support for legislation aimed at strengthening these partnerships: “Proud that Virginia ranks in the top 5 states with the most 287(g) agreements, allowing our local law enforcement to partner with ICE and remove illegal immigrants from our communities. That’s why I supported @RepCloudTX’s 287(g) Program Protection Act to strengthen this”.
On June 4, Congressman Cline acknowledged Dairy Month by commending dairy farmers and producers in his district and nationwide. He emphasized their role in sustaining local economies and providing fresh products: “Happy Dairy Month to all the hardworking farmers and producers in Virginia’s Sixth District and across the country. Our dairy producers play a vital role in our economy, helping to keep fresh, local products on our shelves. Their work feeds our families and strengthens our”.
