There were 702 students enrolled in Clarke County High School in 2023-24 school year

Clarke County High School had the highest enrollment among Clarke County schools, welcoming 702 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 51.1% of them were male, and 48.9% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 76.1% of Clarke County High School's total enrollment.

Among the four schools in Clarke County, D. G. Cooley Elementary School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 497 students, while Johnson-Williams Middle School welcomed 425 students to be ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Clarke County High School is part of Clarke County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Clarke County, with its main office in Berryville.

In the previous school year, Clarke County High School also had the highest number of students among Clarke County schools.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
