356 students were enrolled for 3rd-grade in Warren County schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 356 3rd-grade students enrolled in Warren County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 3.8% fewer than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

The school that enrolled the largest number of 3rd-grade students in the county was Ressie Jeffries Elementary School.

Within Warren County schools, the largest number of students were found in 9th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, Warren County ranked 48th in enrollment numbers. It was also ranked 48th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
