Shenandoah County had unemployment rate of 3.9% in 2021

Shenandoah County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 849 people out of the 44,037 living in Shenandoah County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Shenandoah County has decreased compared to the 4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Shenandoah County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 20,874 people who had a job during that time, 59 were employed in the Armed Forces and 20,815 belonged to the civilian labor force.
