City of Winchester issued the following announcement on Jan. 13
Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of the City of Winchester will conduct a public hearing and receive public comment at the Tuesday, March 8, 2022 Regular Meeting, beginning at 6:00 pm, on the following:
O-2022-1: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, ARTICLE I, SECTION 7-2, AND ARTICLE II, SECTIONS 7-18, 7-19, AND 7-20, OF THE WINCHESTER CITY CODE TO REAPPORTION THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF WINCHESTER, VIRGINIA VOTING WARDS AND PRECINCTS
Citizens are also welcome to submit comments, along with data, views, maps, and arguments, in writing in advance, provided that comments are submitted on or before 4:00 pm on February 28, 2022, by one of the following methods:
- Submit the online public comment form (link available on the City’s Website: www.winchesterva.gov/government)
- Email the comment to clerk@winchesterva.gov
- Deliver the comment via mail or drop box to Attention: Clerk of Council, 15 N. Cameron Street, Winchester, VA 22601
- Call (540) 667-1815, ext. 1502 to make alternate arrangements
A copy of the ordinance and all underlying documentation is available on the City’s website and also may be requested through the Clerk of Council by calling 540-667-1815, ext. 1502 or email clerk@winchesterva.gov
If the March 8 Council Meeting is canceled, the Public Hearing may be moved to 6:00 pm on March 15, 2022 without further advertisement.
