County of Shenandoah issued the following announcement on Sept. 3
Office Closure for Labor Day Holiday: Please note that the Shenandoah County Government Center will be closed on Monday, September 6, 2021 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
RevUp ShenCo: RevUp ShenCo kicked off this week as part of an ongoing partnership between the towns, county and Chamber of Commerce to support small business development. Now in its 4th year, this year’s class includes 16 local businesses including restaurants, retail, professional services and agritourism from throughout the County and its towns. The 8-week curriculum is provided by the Shenandoah Creative Capital Foundation, features speakers from several regional business owners, and concludes with a pitch night style competition where businesses can win up to $4,000 to support their business growth.
VACO Regional Meeting: The Virginia Association of Counties (VACO) will be holding a virtual regional meeting for Regions 6 & 7 & 8 on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Expected attendees include local legislators, members of local Boards of Supervisors, planning district commission representatives, county administrators, and executive staff from those regions. Please see the attached agenda for the meeting. If you are interested in attending, please let Ms. Heather Williams know so she may RSVP to VACO on your behalf .
