Cost of college went up for all students at Shenandoah University

Tuition and fees rose 1.9 percent for 2018-19 at Shenandoah University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Virginia students paid $32,530 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $610 more than the $31,920 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 438 students received grants or scholarships totaling $6.9 million and 293 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.7 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,817), 1,964 students used grants or scholarships totaling $29.1 million, and 1,430 students took out $11.3 million in federal student loans.
