Congressman Ben Cline, representing Virginia’s 6th District since 2019, recently shared a series of tweets on various topics including animal testing policies, federal mandates, and Mother’s Day greetings. Cline has been an active voice in Congress following his service in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018.

On May 9, Congressman Cline highlighted the Trump Administration’s efforts in ending taxpayer-funded animal testing. He noted that this move “saved innocent lives and set a new standard for humane science,” mentioning dogs like Max and Darby who found homes due to this leadership. “The Trump Administration took decisive action to end cruel, taxpayer-funded animal testing. It saved innocent lives and set a new standard for humane science.”

Later on the same day, Cline commented on policy changes under President Trump’s administration regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) mandates. He stated that these radical mandates are no longer in place and emphasized that federal agencies will be accountable to the American public rather than specific political agendas. “Common sense is making a comeback. Under President Trump, radical DEI mandates are done.”

On May 11, Congressman Cline extended Mother’s Day wishes to mothers within Virginia’s Sixth District. He praised their contributions as foundational to families and communities while expressing personal gratitude towards the women who inspire him daily. “Wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to the incredible moms of Virginia’s Sixth District.”

Ben Cline was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and resides in Fincastle. He graduated from Bates College with a BA in 1994 and later earned a JD from the University of Richmond in 2007.
