Congressman Ben Cline, representing Virginia’s 6th district, recently shared a series of tweets expressing his views on national security, agricultural policy, and military families. Cline has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018.
On May 8, 2025, Cline commented on border security measures by stating “@RealTomHoman is spot on. President Trump is back—and the border is finally being secured.” He emphasized that with President Trump’s return, there would be “no more open-border insanity” and praised efforts for prioritizing “law, order, and America First.”
Later that day, Cline acknowledged Secretary Rollins’ efforts in addressing inefficiencies within the USDA. He tweeted “@SecRollins is doing a phenomenal job exposing waste, fraud, and abuse at @USDA.” He commended her for prioritizing American farmers and producers who are described as “the backbone of this country.”
On May 9, 2025, Congressman Cline paid tribute to military spouses on Military Spouse Appreciation Day. In his tweet he expressed gratitude for their “strength, sacrifice, and steadfast support,” acknowledging their vital role in enabling service members to fulfill their duties.
Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and residing in Fincastle, Ben Cline holds a BA from Bates College and a JD from the University of Richmond.
