Congressman Ben Cline, who has been representing Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared his views on several pressing issues via social media. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and currently residing in Fincastle, Cline has a background that includes a BA from Bates College and a JD from the University of Richmond.

On May 14, 2025, Congressman Cline expressed his concerns regarding actions taken by the Biden Administration. He stated that “Targeting parents, Catholics, and conservatives for opposing the far-Left agenda was a blatant abuse of power by the Biden Administration — and it must never happen again.”

Later that day, Cline announced significant economic developments for Salem. He noted that “Great news for Salem! QualiChem is investing $9 million to expand into a new 48,550-square-foot facility.” He highlighted QualiChem’s role as a leading producer of metalworking fluids and water treatment solutions supporting critical industries like aerospace and medical.

In another post on May 14, Congressman Cline addressed security concerns involving Chinese operatives at American universities. He remarked on the troubling nature of reports indicating that “CCP operatives are targeting students like Anna at our top universities to gain access to sensitive research.” In response to these threats, he mentioned that House Republicans passed legislation to block Department of Homeland Security funds from schools associated with Confucius Institutes or other related entities.
