Congressman Ben Cline, currently serving in the United States Congress representing Virginia’s 6th District, shared his perspectives on various issues through a series of tweets on April 2, 2025. Known for his conservative stance, Cline commented on immigration policy and national security, among other topics.
In his first tweet of the day, Cline supported former President Donald Trump’s efforts to address immigration issues, specifically focusing on what he terms the removal of “violent criminal illegal aliens.” He expressed concern over what he described as “rogue judges” hindering these actions. Emphasizing the gravity of the situation, he referenced Cindy Romero’s story as “a tragic reminder” of the stakes involved. Cline summarized the narrative by contrasting the perceived perspectives of the political left and the American populace regarding migration. “President Trump is working to remove violent criminal illegal aliens. Rogue judges are standing in the way. Cindy Romero’s story is a tragic reminder of what’s at stake. The Left calls it migration—but the American people know the truth: it’s an invasion.”
Later in the afternoon, Cline addressed gender classification in immigration documentation. He criticized a third gender option implemented during the Biden administration, praising former President Trump’s administration for reestablishing what he describes as “biological reality.” He argued for the recognition of only two sexes, stating: “The Biden-era nonsense of a third gender option on immigration forms is OVER. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, USCIS is returning to biological reality. There are two sexes: male and female. Common sense is back in the White House.”
In a subsequent tweet, Cline turned his attention to the regulation of artificial intelligence. He advocated against the imposition of excessive regulations, suggesting that such measures could hinder American progress and afford global competitors like China a strategic advantage. He emphasized the need for focusing on “freedom and innovation” rather than imposing additional governmental controls. “Overregulating AI won’t make America stronger. It will only slow our progress and give China the upper hand. We should be focused on freedom and innovation, not more government control.”
