Congressman Ben Cline, representing Virginia’s 6th district since 2019, recently shared insights and reflections through a series of tweets. Cline, who succeeded Bob Goodlatte in Congress and previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018, discussed topics ranging from agricultural support to historical commemorations and legislative efforts on national security.

On May 7, 2025, Congressman Cline tweeted about his participation in an Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee hearing. He noted the opportunity to hear directly from Secretary Rollins regarding how the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is supporting farmers, ranchers, and producers.

The following day, May 8, 2025, Cline commemorated the surrender of Nazi Germany to the Allies during World War II. He reflected on V-E Day by honoring “the brave men and women who answered the call” and emphasized that their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Later that same day, Congressman Cline addressed national security concerns in another tweet. He highlighted his legislative initiative aimed at strengthening the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). The bill seeks to ensure transparency by requiring anyone working for a foreign government to register as part of efforts against adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party exploiting foreign agents.

Ben Cline was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently resides in Fincastle. He graduated from Bates College with a BA in 1994 and earned a JD from the University of Richmond in 2007.
